FAQs
1. How long does a project take?
We measure in days, not weeks. For most residential concrete countertops — from template to install — expect about 2-3 weeks, depending on size, shape, complexity, and whether it’s indoor or outdoor. Larger jobs or custom finishes may stretch to 4 weeks.
2. What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Wichita, KS, and cover the surrounding Kansas communities. If you’re in the region and serious about a quality job, we’ll make it happen.
3. How strong are your concrete countertops?
They’re built to work hard. Our countertops are reinforced, sealed, and designed for real use — kitchens, outdoor bars, grill areas — not just for show. With proper care, they’ll perform for years.
4. What kind of finishes and colors can I choose?
You call the shot. We offer finishes like matte, polished, honed, or textured. For colors — from raw grey to pigmented tones — we’ll walk you through options. The idea: a surface that looks as good as it works.
5. Do outdoor concrete countertops hold up in weather?
Absolutely. These pieces are engineered for Kansas’ weather swings — heat, cold, rain, sun. We use specific materials and sealers that handle the elements. That said, even the toughest surface still needs care — cleaning, sealing when needed.
6. Will my countertop crack?
Concrete is tough but it’s still a natural material. Hairline cracks can happen due to settling or temperature changes, but when built and reinforced correctly, they’re typically cosmetic, not structural. We stand by our craftsmanship — and if something’s off, we’ll handle it.
7. How do I maintain a concrete countertop?
Simple:
Wipe down with a mild cleaner (non-abrasive).
Use cutting boards and trivets when handling heavy or hot items.
Consider re-sealing every few years if your countertop gets heavy outdoor use.
Keep it clean, keep it protected, and it will serve you well.
8. What’s the pricing like?
Pricing depends on size, thickness, edge detail, finish, and whether it’s indoor or outdoor. We’ll give you a custom quote — no cookie-cutter estimates, no surprises. We believe in honest pricing for honest work.
9. Who handles demo, plumbing, electrical?
We focus on the concrete countertop build and installation. If your project involves plumbing, electrical, or demo work, we’ll coordinate with your contractor or help you find one. We want the concrete job to go in smoothly — we don’t leave you hanging in the middle of a mess.
10. What happens after I request a quote?
Here’s the play:
You let us know your project details (size, location, indoor/outdoor, any special features).
We’ll schedule an on-site visit or ask for plans/photos.
We send you a quote with all the details, timeline, what’s included.
Once you approve it, we schedule your job, create the template, pour, finish, install.
Job done. We’ll check in to make sure you’re satisfied.
